The Ballet Project is a way for us to influence an industry we love. We can make it better. Together.

There is so much joy to be found in working diligently on something as challenging as ballet when the environment is supportive of your tries, and celebratory of your wins.

Our mission…

Our mission at The Ballet Project is to provide affordable, high-quality dance training to adults in a positive, mentally and physically healthy, community environment. Here, dancers flourish and grow regardless of age, origin, background or ability level.

Too often, adult recreational dancers are dismissed in class. We do not receive the corrections, energy, or teacher attention that pre-professional adolescents do simply because we are past the traditional age of joining a company. The Ballet Project aims to influence the industry in a new direction.

The name “The Ballet Project” comes from a desire to create something together as a community. A collective project to mould the ballet world into a shape we know is possible.

Our ethos…

We seek to revolutionize ballet by taking a holistic, human-centered approach. Mental, physical, emotional and social health are at the heart of what we do, and we infuse our intensives with opportunities to nurture these aspects of your training.

It is paramount to us that we work with people who understand the latest research in sports science and injury prevention, so we are thrilled to be working with Chloe Rowlatt at Dance Physio UK and the team at Prehab Performance Specialists to bring science into the studio!

Also at the core of our ethos are honesty and integrity. We value and respect each and every person that we meet for who you are, and where you are in your dance journey. It’s a tough industry, and we can make it a little easier by acting from a place of compassion and understanding.

Finally, we aim to offer affordable experiences by keeping things simple, while providing high-quality instruction. It is also deeply important to us that our teachers and other partners are compensated well for their contributions.
